Land measurements in Thailand are calculated in Sq.Wah., Ngan & Rai. The largest measurement is called a "Rai" and smallest a "Sq.Wah" (Sq.w).

Sale or finance of land, is calculated in Sq.w.

This is vastly different to the standard Imperial or Metric System which many other countries apply and therefore needs careful consideration. Particularly when purchasing or, financing land. A simply miss-understanding could be costly.

Land sizes are usually written in the format X-X-X where X is a number representing Rai, Ngan & Sq.w.

Take for example the calculator above, it would be written as 175-0-17
